Double Time

Time seems to be going in "double time" speed lately as Jaxon has been learning and growing and progressing at an incredible rate! I can hardly keep up with him...and he hasn't even started crawling...YET!! I better knock on wood though, because just in the past week or two he has been able to get up on all 4s and he rocks forwards and backwards and sometimes lunges his whole body forwards! He is now 6 1/2 months old and I fear what is in the near future, especially considering his dad was walking at 9 months old!

Now, since I have been slacking and haven't blogged for quite some time, I thought I would do a little flash back and catch up on all the fun and exciting things we have been up to...so here is the past 4 or so months in double time:

Jaxon held head up while on tummy at 2 1/2 months old, rolled over at 4 1/2 months old, and that was the beginning of a whole new world! He was all over the room and able to explore new things. Jaxon sat up on his own at 5 months old! His curiosity in food was quite obvious so he joined us at the table in his own high chair. He was anxious to try feeding himself with the spoon, but got frustrated and would end up with his face down licking up whatever had fallen onto his tray haha. Pretty humorous! He first tried Jamba Juice on mommy and daddy's 2nd year anniversary, Jaxon loves going on walks with mommy and friends twice a week and loves runs in his jogging stroller, even in the rain! Jaxon also helps out with house/lawn work such as laundry, mowing the lawn, helping daddy fix his truck, picking black berries, and participating in FHEs on Monday nights (daddys home made slip n slide in the backyard). He loves riding on the 4 wheeler, boat, daddys back (hiking backpack) and of course, Daddy's shoulders!! He makes a really high pitched squeal and holds on to daddys hair with a death grip as they bounce around the house. Jaxon currently has 2 teeth (bottom middle 2) and chews on everything/anything...including daddy's ear! He wasn't shy as he reached down and grabbed hold of daddy's ear while sitting on his shoulders..and...CHOMP! This happened twice, haha daddy needs to wear earmuffs or something! Jaxon also claps his hands, smiles, and screams when he gets excited! Peek-a-boo is his all time favorite game, while he also enjoys reading books and jumping in his jumper (especially when daddy puts the mini trampoline under it!) July/August 2012 we attended 3 family reunions and Jaxon was a trooper! He loved swimming and splashing and sliding and playing and eating and visiting just like the rest of us! We also made Jaxon's first trip to the zoo with friends and cousins! The fish in the aquarium were his favorite! Jaxon loved hot tubing with Levi Jackson, Salmon days with Easton Kenyon, and touring daddy's work to see the huge machinery! Mommy (me) and Jaxon went to Canada to see family and welcome Elder Nathan Allred home from his mission! Jaxon and Nathan met for the first time! We went to the pumpkin patch for pictures and the fruit stand for pumpkins! Last night we made Halloween gingerbread houses, which was a first for both mommy and Jaxon. Jaxon currently weighs about 18 lbs at 6.5 months and now wears big boy shoes. He tries to say big boy words, but it comes out as "caw, caw" sounding like a crow. Both grandpas claim it sounds like "grandpa". We love our little boy!
